A source with some spectral shape

This is a repeat of SSSC1 except we are now going to give the source a spectral shape.

Please refer to the PURR log for SSSC1 if you haven't already.

LSM format is a matter of preference, or perhaps convenience. The diagram below shows the required columns for the h m s, d m s text file format. The only difference between this and the LSM for SSSC1 is the value of -0.7 in the spectral index column, and the source name has been changed to SSSC11.

Simulating the visibilities and imaging the data set

Repeating the steps as per SSSC1 now to intialise the MS columns, add the visibilities and image the result.

If you're eagle-eyed you will have noticed the differences in the histograms of this and the spectrally flat case presented in SSSC1.

Remember that you can also generate a datacube at the imaging stage.
